This is what I am wondering about -- meetings in other offices (at other agencies).  If I go across town, do I need permission from my boss now?  Do I need to put that on my time card?  As what?

Indeed. This way most face to face meeting will be avoided, which is a pity. I've started multiple joint interagency programs/initiatives because of informal catch ups after these in person face-face meetings in the past. [/quote]
