It was absolutely the result of teacher union tactics that DCPS stayed closed so long. I do not blame individual teachers, because I have no idea how any of them felt about it and of course they wanted to prioritize their own self-interest. But the monolith that is "teachers" and/or the WTU? I 100% blame them. The damage of COVID closures on certain kids will absolutely never be undone.[/quote]
