It wasn’t all that long ago that US News categorized WF as a regional school, and when it first was recategorized as national it was nowhere near the top 30. What goes around comes around. Honestly, let’s get serious: does anyone really think WF is anywhere near as strong as UVA or UNC? Nope.
Sorry to break it to you but UVA is nowhere near UNC. And yes I would consider WF similar to UVA - they’re both solid in academics but not amazing.
+1
Wake, BC, UVA, Tufts, all peers schools, maybe throw in USC as well. I don’t think the so-called Wake boosters are arguing differently. Not sure why UNC is seen as a tier above. It’s harder than UVA for oos admittance by a good measure, but far easier for in state admission.
I wouldn't 'throw in' USC with those other schools. It's at least a tier below, USNWR rankings be darned.
UVA>USC>>BC>Tufts>Wake USC has actually been T25 in the last 20 years. Unlike Tufts, BC, and Wake.
It is ridiculous to nit pick among these schools- same quality of education at any of them. Some appeal more than others based on location, campus, vibe etc. (for example, despite both being in/near Boston, there aren’t going to be many kids who feel equally about BC and Tufts …).
Meaning?
meaning kids aren’t picking tufts over bc or bc over tufts bc of the usnwr ranking- the vibe of each is pretty different. likewise if a kid gets into bc and usc, they prob have some location preference vs the rank being the factor which determines selection. it is ridiculously nit picky to try to rank among those colleges listed. harvard vs wake, sure. bc vs wake, no.
