Factory farming is way worse than halal farming.  At least Islam (and I believe Judaism as well) stipulates you can’t kill the animal in front of other animals and the animal can’t be hunted (killed by gun) or stunned by gun/shocked or force fed. It has to be through knife in one swipe in the neck (instant death without pain). The knife has to be sharp:sharpened prior  too so the animal is dead before it can process/ realize the pain and you must let the animal bleed out (not keep the blood?). Dull knives actually are more painful and need more swipes. The US does it via assembly line for chicken so each chick watches as the inevitable slicer kills them a there’s ton of force feeding and hormonal injections. I am hoping our government tries to fix the horrible way we treat animals especially chickens [/quote]
