Vance brought up the issues of public school resources being redirected to ELL students at a rally in PA. 56,000+ school aged kids arrived in NYC alone in the last 2 years. It's an issue that this administration wholly caused and parents are rightfully pissed.
NP... I'm not sure where that number comes from, but let's run with it. Do you know how many school-aged kids there are in NYC? It's around 930,000. 56,000 therefore only represents a change of around 5.3% over 2 years, or 2.7% per year. School enrollment often fluctuates by that amount regardless of border or immigration policy. You're being hyperbolic and are trying a strategy of thinking you can scare people by throwing numbers around, but that only works with people who don't understand how scale works.
You're not a classroom teacher, are you?
