The thing I always think about when people post clickbait stories as "evidence" is how easily you're led by your emotions. These aren't facts, they're stories. "nobody knows why the dog attack" and you immediately jump to "because it's a pit bull" and hate 5 distinct breeds of dogs as a result. It's almost impressive how gullible you are, but the same fear and lack of critical thinking skills go to the polls with you, and you're manipulated there the same way.
No I’m not being manipulated by emotions. Just now googling “dog attack” there are 2 news stories posted within the past 6 hours involving pit bull attacks (a woman in Washington and a child in San Antonio). Yes my natural emotion is to feel upset and wonder how we can prevent this but it is logic dictating that certain breed characteristics are disproportionately involved in these attacks. You’re the one being blinded by your emotional attachment to these dogs and unable to assess dog bite statistics.
Two "news stories" (did you check credibility before calling them news?) involving "pit bull" attacks. "Pit bull" isn't a breed, so you're sus from the jump. As for your projections about "dog bite statistics"... You'd need to get a credible survey of the total number of dogs and and accurate listing of their breeds. Good luck. Then, you'd need a credible inventory of all dog bites, and a way to rank them, unless you're just counting bites in general (in which case, it's chihuahuas). And still, even if you had that information (which you don't), you'd have to factor in how the dogs were bred, raised, kept, trained and handled. Maybe, MAYBE, after you had all of that, you could credibly blame "pit bulls" as a group (still not a breed). But no. You googled your "research", found 2 stories (not facts, stories), and made up your mind. This isn't intelligent, logical evaluation, even if you feel like it is.
