Over 200,000 people have come to New York City over the past two years. We do not have the capacity to absorb all these people. No one can survive in NYC collecting cans out of the trash. As someone who was just in DC in the springtime, you do not have the same kind of migrant issues that we do. There’s just no comparison. In addition, I had my first job at seven years old and I’ve worked really hard all my life. I am fully employed and a valued employee at my job. Over the past couple of years, my employer has gradually reduced our WFH to twice a month so I’m in the office nearly every day of the month. I don’t mind going into the office at all. When my kids were younger, the foreign-born nannies of their peers would approach my mother and tell her how friendly I am, but thanks for playing, a-hole…[/quote]
