Social life is mostly centered around downtown Atlanta, and there is a Greek life presence but it’s not really pervasive in my experience. Student body is quite diverse but I find that most are jack-of-all-trades types who are masters of some, rather than students with a definite affinity for a particular area of study, reflected in a liberal arts approach and lots of academic freedom.

Downsides are a lack of sports and fanatic school spirit some will want. CS and adjacent stem fields are not a strong suit, though I’ve still seen several of my peers work at FAANG and similar companies in technical roles. It’s also important to know that it is not in downtown Atlanta but really in a nearby suburb. While a car odd absolutely not needed (I didn’t have one) it can be handy.[/quote]
