What if her breakdown involved assaulting someone or damaging property? She would be liable we and would need to be institutionalized until she was not deemed a threat. If you are in public you are responsible for your behavior towards others and if you cannot behave respond you should not be in public unescorted.  We can’t assume everyone verbally or physically threatening us has a great excuse or is really just harmless.  You don’t have the right to harass people just because you have an illness.  [/quote]
