Bellichek retired from the Pats at the end of this past season. Instead of prepping for the next season, he is now adrift.

It's not clear to me if his sons kept their nepo-jobs with the Patriots organization.

This really does feel like some sort of late-life crisis. He's completely out of his routine for the past 30+ years. He doesn't seem completely with it....look at this quote on Wikipedia:
