Absent low self-esteem DCUM posters that disparage any choice they cannot or would not make, I have heard mostly positive feedback on Syracuse from people who attended. If you can afford Syracuse without putting your family at financial risk, then Syracuse seems like a great option.  Is it the best college? No. The best value at sticker price? Probably not. A tropical setting? No. Prestigious? Maybe for a few majors. But if you feel it is the school where your student will do best, then pull the trigger and feel good about the decision.
