I would not be so sure that they are going to prioritize magnet experience. It's a relatively small slice at the school, and it doesn't make sense to put that expertise above some experience working with other communities represented at Blair.[/quote]

“Small slice?” Magnet is the core offering Blair is renowned for and many students are in it. In business or any type of leadership role, the person in these situations is selected based on their ability to lead the core product while making sure everything else separate from it isn’t seen as an ‘aside.’ In other words, “I obviously care about the whole school, and will give it attention by making sure we aren’t as much of a ‘school within a school’, but I know I’m mostly judged on magnet.” [/quote]
