The best soccer players in the world are big fast strong athletic players with technical skills and high soccer IQ.  It's not either or.

But that's not the question that was asked.  The question that was asked is about 11 year olds.

If you don't have a big strong fast kid with excellent skills, so you have to choose between these three 11 year olds

Kid A:  Big strong fast athletic and new to soccer so limited technical skills or soccer IQ

Kid B: Big strong fast athletic and has been playing awhile but skills are still limited

Kid C: Smaller, weaker kid with strong technical skills

Which one do you pick?

I'd say that Kid A is the one most likely to make varsity and eventually play in college if someone believes him in.

But Kid C might be the one that helps you win this year in U12.

So, it depends on coach's priorities.
