Thoughts on Payne vs L-T? In at Payne for PK4, waitlist #11 for L-T.
Assume you are OOB for LT? Surprised the waitlist for PK4 isn't longer. Both are good options, are you already at Payne or just now getting in?
Yes, OOB for L-T. We are at another school on the Hill right now for PK3.
I thought I sent this comment earlier. Sorry if it is a repeat. Are you IB for Payne? From our experience, at that age the proximity makes a really big difference. Both for kid friendships, community walking to school, and it builds community among adults too. Besides both being good schools, that could be an additional perk. Not sure if this is the case at all schools, but I know there are parents who do book clubs, some play on a soccer team, do happy hours , etc. Obviously some parents choose not to get that involved with the community, but I think living closer to other families that you see every day is a plus.
You sent it earlier, I just missed it and responded late. Not, IB for Payne, but it's closer than L-T, which is 10 min drive but not walkable. I agree with you about the community aspect of living close to the school.
