This happened today in El Paso. It is maddening. We have J6ers who are getting sentenced for simply walking on the Capitol grounds, and then we have these people - who are here illegally - who will likely be processed and released into the country after violently entering illegally. Only one person was arrested. He will probably be released as well. Our country is upside down right now. [twitter]https://twitter.com/RepTonyGonzales/status/1770897949821665632[/twitter]
Completely agree. That scene looks like something out of a dystopian nightmare. Every one of those migrants who rushed in needs to be deported, ASAP.
Most of them have already been processed and are on their way to a neighborhood near you!!! Way to go, Joe!!!!
Let me get this straight: - Abbott declares Biden isn't tough enough on the border - Abbott kicks out the border patrol and sends the TX guard to the border - A bunch of immigrants assault the TX guard that Abbott said was going to do so much better than the border patrol, and the TX guard just lets them run away And this is somehow Biden's fault?
Thanks to the 5th circuit (actually, the Biden admin. since they are the ones contesting the previous ruling), these violent migrants were turned over to border patrol since TX could not arrest and detain them. And, as per Joe's policies, these migrants were processed and released into the country.
Link showing they were turned over to the feds and then released?
DP. I don't know if they were released into the country, but why would you be shocked if that was the case? It's the way things work now at the border. They were definitely arrested, but IMO should have simply been immediately deported. Texas Governor Greg Abbott also responded to Thursday's incident, saying the following: "About the surge of illegal immigrants in El Paso: The TX National Guard & Dept. of Public Safety quickly regained control & are redoubling the razor wire barriers. DPS is instructed to arrest every illegal immigrant involved for criminal trespass & destruction of property." https://6abc.com/el-paso-border-breach-migrants-storm-what-happened-in-texas-sb4-immigration-law/14559142/
But they were not arrested. Abbotts folks just stood there and watched them run away. Lots of tough talk and no action.
[twitter]https://twitter.com/JennieSTaer/status/1771319951325905363[/twitter]
Yep, TX just let them go.
