All that said, I cannot vote for Hogan, for a Congressional seat in either chamber of Congress because of current national politics.  The current MAGA party is dangerous for our nation and I will do what I can to avoid giving them control of either chamber.  So I will vote Democratic for any candidate going to Congress.  While I respect a lot of Hogan's positions (and frankly, he pretty accurately represents many of my own personal political mores), I have no faith that he will be able to stand up to the political machinery and he will become a rank and file member of his party should he be elected.  There is no bucking the Republican party in Congress.  Not safely.  It's political suicide.[/quote]
