When in reality, making that "sacrifice" is a very mature and fiscally responsible decision. You can still be adulting while doing this if the parents are not helicoptering. But those 1-2+ years of saving rent (and likely other expenses) can put you on a much stronger financial path at a very young age. [/quote]
