No. There are literally zero “athletic scholarships” for division 2 and 3 college sports. Although a hell of a lot of people and their parents will straight up lie about getting one. They are 100% lying. And they should always be called out on this lie.[/quote]

First of all, WHY should they be called out?  For what purpose?

Second, I’m pretty sure schools just offer “academic” scholarships to kids they want on their teams (regardless of the athlete’s academic prowess).  i.e. it’s still an athletic scholarship even if the school pretends it’s something else.[/quote]
