From where? That's frankly hard to believe. Even TO.

I'd almost call bs on this but I guess anything is possible.  Has to be some reason to get rejected with those grades.

If you don't ask, they def don't.  Really, if you have legitimate reason to think there was an actual error or blatant oversight, ask. Otherwise, yes, they don't reconsider.  Does the 3.97 person know their class rank? Was class rigor high? Calc AB or BC? AP Lang? Lit? If they were just padding the gpa with "honors" classes at some W and are ranked in the 30th percent than justified reject but if they took hard classes (clearly they got all As and maybe 1 or 2 B) then its not so cut and dry..[/quote]
