Part of the reason there’s a student loan issue is that there aren’t a shortage of colleges willing to put young adults into massive amounts of debt, regardless of how successful they will in college or if they will actually get a good ROI on their degree. If you’re paying for it, money isn’t an issue, and it’s not a big deal if your kid is able to handle going away for school and being successful, or if he withdraws and comes home. Then go for it.
