And where is Alexandria going to get the manpower to do this? We live within 3/4 mile from the proposed site, and know that this is going to bring in riffraff. The fact that residents have not been considered at all, is really distressing.

The VA Tech campus is great. The office buildings and stores are great. But the nightlife is going to bring the sketch. And who's going to be paying for this financially? We are, of course.

I think the 200 cars was a targeted thing when a rap performer had a show, a lot of the audience had left guns in their cars that were stolen and it was announced ahead of time as kind of a "beef" we're going to do this rap rival thing. I don't think basketball games on Saturday afternoon will bring that much riffraff. The issue was the criminal element that took over Chinatown, not one that was attracted by team sports and only appeared for games. [/quote]
