I’m not at all talking about how annoying and frustrating it is.  I am explaining to people responding on this thread that OP isn’t at all unusual in not checking voicemails.  Some posters here seem extremely surprised that someone wouldn’t check voicemails.  I think it’s associated with age of the posters.[/quote]

Read her original post.  She was “savaged” by her mom and “doesn’t know how to react.”  Then she is asking us if she is the jerk.  She herself is not mad.

She's mad, upset, and confused. All of them because her mom didn't offer her sympathy. She also points out in a petty way that her mom wouldn't come to her Thanksgiving where her ex-husband was. What do we know about that past relationship? Maybe her husband was an abusive jerk? Maybe her mom is just over OP and her selfish ways.[/quote]

So much projection! All this over a missed voicemail. While I agree OP sounds upset, she hasn’t indicated that she is mad. I would be mad if someone told me someone died over voicemail, but OP doesn’t seem to be.[/quote]
