I think it is just a natural desire for any politically active/ conscious minority in any country to support diversity. A different poster a few pages ago has the most parsimonious take on it — after seeing ethnonationalist states behave in ww2, Jewish people felt it was best that the us never went down that path. Vivek and Nikki Haley aren’t Jewish - and Vivek isn’t an Israel simp either — but he supports immigration. Going back to my first sentence, the reason why you don’t see activists in East Asia do the same is you never really had a politically active and conscious minority with a voice like there was in Europe, the new world or MENA.
