The person who was sexually assaulted and sued and won hundreds of thousands of dollars may or may not have been a special needs student. Plenty of regular Ed parents are over the top as well and no more than special needs parents.  Most families of special needs children also have another child or more who doesn't meet the criteria for special Ed. So they've seen both sides and have an invested interest In all students receiving adequate education. If you aren't a special needs parent why do you talk about things you don't even know? I went to two of Dr Reids discussions and it wasn't the special needs parents who were taking up the floor with their complaints. [/quote]
