Life is always changing.  Before that there was the 2008 crash, before that 9/11.

COVID accelerated remote work trends.  I prefer in-person when I have a short commute... but I"m currently doing my job from 500+ miles away for several months for personal reasons, and not sure I could have sold that plan pre-COVID. We are also more divided/partisan as a country - but I think COVID just amplified trends that were already happening.

The learning loss for kids is troubling.  My kids were below elementary age, but I am worried in general about kids who missed out on learning.[/quote]
