We followed the advice of the Wapo college writer who said apply first then tour. We toured only where DC was accepted (large universities where they don't follow interest). in sharp contrast, his classmate's parents toured every single Ivy plus some. Friend did not get into any of those schools. Tens of thousands of dollars invested into two parents and child traveling and all gone.[/quote]
