Interestingly the minister (Francis Bellamy) who wrote the original pledge in 1892 was a SOCIALIST; I wonder if we could start educating MAGA about this terrible truth so maybe they’ll move to abolish the pledge?

And it gets worse! Until 1939 children saying the daily pledge of allegiance also had to give the flag the Bellamy salute:
