It wasn't made by Angel Studios.  It was made by 20th Century FOX in 2018, and produced by Eduardo Verástegui.  20th Century FOX was acquired by Disney in 2019.  While Disney was working through the licensing, rights, distribution plans and everything else for the massive new portfolio that they acquired, producer Eduardo Verástegui reached out to Angel Studios, and they negotiated with Disney to acquire the rights to it.

At no point was it "suppressed by Hollywood."  If any of that were true, a major Hollywood film studio like 20th Century FOX never would have made the film in the first place, and if any of it were true, Disney would have buried it rather than agree to work with Angel Studios.[/quote]
