Yes, because it’s Federal salaries (which top out around $200K for only the highest paid people) that drive the multi million dollar housing market. 85% of Federal Employees don’t live in the DC area (which is huge and includes like WV and Baltimore). It’s not tech companies or BigLaw, or lobbyists or Biotech.

It’s like you’ve never read a post on this board before. Also - why would it be up to Federal Employees to hold down the housing market prices? Why do people think that it’s only public servants of any sort that are responsible to just be treated poorly? We do t deserve fair wages?

“You should be paid far less than anyone because I knew and Admin once, and she made like $100K and I decided on my own that $100K was too much money for a Federal Admin to make because I’m better than her based on absolutely no actual metric except that I personally look down on both Federal Employees and Admins and I don’t make that much more!”
