Think of why immigrants are here. So many have escaped brutal regimes that have stepped on individual rights (being kind), have no regulation of industry (think child labor), taking the majority of the money they earn, don’t have the opportunity for health care (why do you think charitable medical organizations like Operation Smile exist?) and are from all religious sects (and often murdered for it). Gun violence? Please. They are hacked to death by machetes, burned to death, put in front of firing squads by their own leaders, and live with violence you can’t even imagine.

Because if you look at what’s going on with child labor now (all those migrant kids dems lost….), ridiculous tyrannical laws taking and controlling land from homeowners, the firing of people who don’t ‘agree with me’, I would say that liberal politicians have a way of leaning towards tyranny that republicans do not. As for religious tolerance, that’s a Constitutional right. Civil rights are covered in the Declaration of Independence as well, but it seems a bunch of Democrats in the 1800s decided they didn’t like the Constitution or Preamble.[/quote]

As for "tyrannical laws taking and controlling land from homeowners" - REPUBLICANS have no problem stealing land from landowners when it's to do things like build pipelines to enrich their buddies and overall, on tyranny, it's the REPUBLICANS who lean far more toward authoritarianism than Democrats do.

As for religious tolerance, it was REPUBLICANS who persecuted Muslims after 9/11, it is REPUBLICAN politicians running around pushing "this is a Christian nation" and pushing law after law based exclusively on Christian ideology at the expense of any other faith.

It was DEMOCRATS who passed all of the major civil rights legislation of the last 75 years, and the handful of Democrats who opposed civil rights legislation split off and joined the Republicans, who opposed civil rights and fought to try and keep Jim Crow laws, segregation, redlining and discrimination.

This is all a matter of well documented historical record.   You are either delusional and seriously disinformed on these facts, or you are completely clueless about actual history.
