I feel like Salim is inexperienced but a better choice than Chap considering that Youngkin is governor and trying to push a lot of right wing things in VA (most recently around voting rights and the environment) and considering the importance of gun safety legislation. Chap cannot be relied upon to stand against right wing efforts in Virginia.
Salim is not inexperienced. He has no experience. Chap is an experienced and accomplished proponent of Clean Energy, renewable energy, and progressive policies. He has earned accolades for his work and has been part of the "blue wall" that successfully defended labor rights, voting rights, and criminal justice reform against Republican efforts to roll them back. Despite looking at Chap's voting record, it is unclear why he cannot be relied on, as he appears to be a solid and experienced choice.
