Corrinne Foxx is a liar.
She understandably tried to spin this story, but did it in an unskilled way that stoked the rumors instead of quieting them. That "exciting" business announcement was the latest ridiculousness.
DP, not the "liar" PP to whom you were responding. I agree with you. The game show announcement may end up backfiring on them as something they eventually have to cancel or hand over to someone else. I think possibly his family's and employees' attempt to create an impression he'll return to work just fine. But putting it out there now is kind of tempting fate. If it was a stroke, there is no way to know at this stage how he might be, by the time they'd have to start making that show, even if it's not scheduled to start until 2024. They've kind of attached a clear time frame to his recovery with this new announcement, and that seems really unwise, if it doesn't work out on that schedule.
My mom had a stroke at 80. She was fully recovered in 6 months.
I'm glad she fully recovered, and so quickly. But every stroke is completley unique. A much younger person than your mom could have a far worse stroke and never fully recover. Her experience is great but not a reason to think Jamie Foxx also will recover in six months, or will recover "fully" whatever that might mean for him. I hope he does recover fully. But still, it's not smart for the family to attach such a clear and very public deadline to his recovery by announcing a new show, even one a year away. Talk about creating pressure on him, his therapists and doctors, his family, etc.
