Chris Rock is funny; even if this was not his best stand up show I would pay to see Chris any time over a Will Smith movie or concert.[/quote]  She's had big roles in a lot of stuff. Set it Off, The Nutty Professor, Menace II Society, Low Down Dirty Shame, Jason's Lyric, and she starred in the TV series A Different World.  These might not have been huge Hollywood blockbusters, but these are classics in the black community. Set it Off is one of my all-time favorite movies ever. [/quote]

Not a Jada fan girl, but she is 50 and black. There are not a lot of big lead roles that are available.

It seems that she has always been a supporting actress in mainstream movies/shows with more of a leading role in "black" movies. I do think being Mrs. Will Smith has given her more exposure and opportunities than she likely would have had. Lately in addition to acting in Madagascar and Girls Trip and Matrix, it looks like she has been executive producer in various works and in the past 4-5 years she has been able to provide a name for herself with something original like Red Table Talk.[/quote]
