Nobody was actually cut. Reduced playtime or offer for Red. They are leaving it up to the players and their families. Easy way out so they do not look bad replacing half a team mid year so players cannot find another landing spot.
Reduce playing time equals 0 playing time, unless winning by 10.
True. You can get no PT on Blue, or pay $3K/year to play on Red. Best answer is to leave the club altogether, they don't deserve another dime from these parents.
Stay on Blue. If you're good enough to make the team again next year, stick with NL Blue. Your kid needs to get better on their own, but look at the 24 team. Starters are all committing early and backups are playing most of the fall. NL does a great job of advertising their kids... backups are getting recruited. Watch the 25 team - same thing will happen next year. As long as the 26 team is good - tons of college coaches will watch them. BUT the kid will need to "shine" when given playing opportunity.
If you're not getting PT, don't stay on the team. Backups on NL 2024 are likely getting recruited due to HS playing time, rather than non-appearances on NL 2024. The drop from Blue to Red is steep and most if not all of the players getting pushed to the bench are too good for the Red team. Additionally, as a parent, you'll likely have an issue paying more money to a group of people who so comprehensively screwed you over, did nothing to develop your kid, showed zero loyalty to you and your family. It's a business nad I get why NL did what they did. Parents should take note and find another club. You're the customer, not the sucker.
