I think close to 30 kids from McLean High are first years at UVA this year. (I have no clue how many were accepted it but rejected the offer.)  I think most years 20-25 kids end up going. [/quote]

Sounds about right.  More kids from McLean will go private.  I’ll bet close to 50 got into UVA

There is no public high school in greater NOVA where only 6 got in.  None. Zero.  Not Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Alexandria, Prince William, etc.  Not even tiny George Mason high in Falls Church. The poster reporting otherwise is just plain wrong. [/quote]
