Californians are moving to Texas in droves. Its only a matter of time they'll make it ultra liberal and go bankrupt.
It’s already happened in Austin.
Austin is bankrupt? I have heard rumors of Transplants trying to leave again
We can only hope.
How have the transplants you other than increasing the value of your home? Oh, not at all because you don’t even live there. Got it.
You are correct that I don’t live in Austin. I’m someone who is from there and and had planned to move back until I saw what the population boom had done to the city. Crowded (now you have to get reservations to go to my favorite old swimming hole!), construction everywhere, in addition to HCOL & being overrun with homeless people? No thanks. If I wanted all that I would have stayed in DC. We moved to another location that was similar to what Austin used to be, and now it’s in the midst of a building boom. For all of those “threatening” not to move to a Red state — trust me, anyone in Texas or the South will see the slowdown in in-migration as a blessing. (Oh, and it’s not because the new people are voting “blue.” To the contrary, the voter registration numbers show that the imports are registering R in large numbers.)
