Has anyone thought about the current starting LSM at McDonogh? He's a four-star and committed to Brown. Was likely looking forward to a great senior year and will now be riding the bench unless the new LSM remains injured. If the rumors are true, it's an unfortunate twist of fate for him as well.
Big-time HS programs recruit - what don't parents and players understand, especially if the school has a dorm to house prospects. Prep recruited in another FOGO transfer from the Richmond area this year. McDonogh recruited a FOGO from a NOVA public school this off-season. The list can go on and on. If your son has his feelings hurt because a transfer now shows up in HS, you might want to think twice about playing D1 lacrosse. D1 lax coaches are recruiting over their own players and it's only getting worst with the transfer portal. Sure you might get the 4 or 5-star attention from that bozo clown Ty Xanders and Inside Lacrosse, but the moment your son steps into the locker room on a college campus, its back to square one. College coaches are already thinking about their next crop of talent or graduate transfers they can lure in.
And most high school coaches, recruit for positions that need to be filled not spots that already have good players.
