As a Christian, I cannot imagine ever going through with an abortion myself, but I also cannot imagine forcing women, especially vulnerable women, to have babies they cannot afford or are the products of abusive relations.

I really resent the way some politicians misuse abortion as a wedge issue to lend themselves a patina of morality when they act completely immoral in other ways that the Bible is much clearer about (showing kindness and mercy for the poor, for immigrants, for socially vulnerable).

Everytime I hear, "As a Christian," I want to vomit.  I grew up with a family of "Christians"  and lived in an area full of Christians.  One of these "Christian" men beat a Black man with a chain and he also beat his wife.  I believe in a higher power and in the power of prayer.  True Christians should follow the teachings of Christ who preached love and non- judgment of our fellow human beings.  It is none of your business whether, or when in a pregnancy, a woman chooses to abort.  You "as a Christian " people have cause more heartache than Satan.[/quote]
