There are great kids and awful kids in both. If you have access to a decent public school, I don't think private is worth it, unless money really is no issue, or it's some kind of social stepping stone for you. I know a family who is desperate to get their child into Andover or Exeter. Why? Really, nobody cares where you went to high school. My private high school probably cost half what Andover or Exeter did, and I went to college with tons of those kids. Why spend all that money if you're just going to end up at the same college anyway?[/quote]
