Really? What inferiority complex? Because when I look at these threads I usually see VA posters let the data and facts around things like job growth speak for themselves, while many DC and especially MD posters sit around taking potshots with the maturity level and ignorance of a 10 year-old.

Again, I ask, why do VA people consistently compare *ONE* county in MD with the entire state of VA.  That screams *insecure* to me. And I'm originally from out west.[/quote]

They're not. They're mostly comparing [b]Arlington/FFX/Alexandria and sometimes Loudoun/Prince William.[/b]

Most people compare MoCo and Fairfax. Both have about the same population and geographic size. And back in the year 2000, they were economically equivalent. Since then their paths diverged dramatically. [/quote]
Re-read this thread, and all the other threads comparing both -- it's always NoVa vs MoCo.  VA people never include HoCo in the discussion even though HoCo is about equidistant to DC as Loudon is, but they always include Loudon.

The shameful part is that while MoCo WANTS to compare themselves to N. VA MoCo can’t even compete with Prince George’s County in terms of job growth![/quote]
