It is amazing how much Republicans really hate Blacks and Hispanics. Just despise them to the core of their being.
No they just don’t pander to a particular group for political gain.
LOL. That’s hilarious. “CRT” “parents can ban books” “advanced math will be banned”
Loudoun County math staff 'to promote equity I think it is important to eliminate tracking'. For now they have eliminated algebra 1 for 6th graders. Stone Hill used to have about 15 6th graders taking algebra. This year, Rosa Lee Carter is putting just two 5th graders next year into PREALGEBRA.
That’s not “banning advanced math” if kids are still taking math 2-3 grade levels ahead. Sounds like they are raising the bar by increasing the threshold of who takes those classes.
Now THAT would be a good idea. TJ kids have proven for over a decade now that artificially advancing students in math can have catastrophic results. There are very few who are genuinely prepared for Pre-Calc or above at the start of 9th grade - but too many parents want their student to look like those students, so the go to whatever expense is necessary to push their child too far. This is the best argument in favor of limiting the impact of math advancement in the TJ admissions process - children should be advanced according to their ability, not their parents' aspirations.
That is an excellent idea.
