Not OBX, but my Dad knew an uber rich family and they spent most of their vacations at their beach house in Delaware.  They were made of crazy money.  Interestingly, did not live the “elite” lifestyle.  Drove unassuming cars- Ford Taurus was car of choice.  Not sure if they flew private charter, but probably had enough money to buy private jet, but smart enough not to.  They lived in Potomac.  Nice house, but by Potomac standards, pretty ordinary.[/quote]
