For what it’s worth I am dairy free and gluten-free and I just bought piles of food I can’t eat because that’s what my guests want. They didn’t ask for it… But they did suggest we have brunch together. I love them and I’m hosting and I picked things out that I knew would be tasty for them. And I’m not all grudgy about it. And it’s not a lifestyle choice for me, I get really really sick if I eat the stuff. I’ll be wearing gloves to plate some things.
I’m so happy to do it because this means we get to be with family for our holiday. some of y’all need to settle down.
But you're hosting. Not acting like an entitled guest.
You missed the part where the entire family invited themselves over. And I decided to just go with it. So sure. But this other person is hosting to there’s no need to get in a huff about it. Sometimes the single people and vegans are hosting outside their set menu as well. It’s the holidays. choose kindness
You missed the part where we are all anonymous on this board and you did not make the connection that you are ALSO the poster with the picky GF allergic etc. guests that invited themselves last minute.
