I was in APE for a bit when I wanted schools to open but left when I realized that they oppose safety measures. The people left in APE now are the radical fringe who oppose basic Covid safety measures even though those safety measures keep schools open.
Schools are open in Europe and many places in the US, including Florida (which now has the lowest cases per capita in the US), without none of these "mitigation" methods. These mitigation methods will soon go into the trash heap of history. Bring on Youngkin.
Wow. So much stupid. Youngkin is not getting rid of masks, testing, or quarantines.
I won't argue about the stupid part, but I do believe that Youngkin will do away with the statewide school mask mandate. I'm fairly certain he'll allow individual districts to impose their own requirement but he will remove the mandate. For now, once we get to spring, I think he'll mandate "mask optional."
Right. So APS isn’t getting rid of masks after Youngkin’s inauguration. Or testing. Or quarantines. He won’t mandate mask optional with high #s. If he even can at all - has that worked in other states? I thought bans on mask mandates were struck down?
