Not false -- bios always say played club soccer at _________. Nothing about school --pretty clear.[/quote] Yeah, I’m puzzled why anyone would think this was weird. The school is showing support for and recognizing students who accomplished something impressive, whether that accomplishment happened on school grounds or not. They’ll also tweet about these same kids when they do something noteworthy on their college teams, same as they will for any alum who does something impressive or newsworthy at any point after graduation. For private schools it’s part of growing their brand, and for public schools it’s a way to foster a strong sense of community. [/quote]
