Lol lol. I know you think you are smart but I’m not voting for Youngkin either cos the guy is crazy. I also want to be clear: I’m a Bernie supporter, socialist leaning, love professor Cornell West etc. I have no problem with teaching US history in a way that is critical of the mainstream version. I don’t believe, as some of the cultural left seem to think, that we should make white kids feel guilty about who they are and keep screaming at white people to check their privilege. I am a minority and a woman but in many ways I am more privileged than a white man in let’s say West Virginia. That being said I am sick and tired of cancel culture (and republicans practice cancel culture as well especially when it comes to Palestinians) and sick and tired of this trans shit being shoved in our throat. Yes I understand that people’s gender doesn’t conform to their biological sex. That was the old school way of looking at this. I have a problem with claims that biological sex doesn’t exist. And sorry I don’t think that biological makes should be able to use female bathrooms. Yes we can make an exception for actual trans students but the policy seems to just allow any male to use the bathroom so long as they identify as female that day.  Also sick and tired about this fake focus on equity. Real equity would be ensuring that every child, especially black and brown kids and those from disadvantaged economic backgrounds can read. So how about we focus on actually improving educational outcomes??? Democrats seem to not care about improving school quality  and actually making sure children can read, write and actually know things. So they are no longer getting my vote. I will say that Kadara, who is running for school board and endorsed by Arlington Dems seems reasonable enough so I will be voting for her. But I definitely won’t be voting for McAuliffe and Ayala. I might end up voting for Sears cuz unlike Youngkin who is bat shit crazy, Sears actually seems reasonable. Had Sam Rasoul won in the primaries I would have gone with him.[/quote]
