Hello!  This was interesting.  As I was reading your question and focusing on it, I felt like your neighbor may be having some sort of breakdown.  Now, I am not a psychologist and I am not giving a diagnosis, but it feels like it was out of character and something else is at work besides the falling out.   After I had that thought, I pulled the cards.

I got Demon, 4 of Pentacles, The Lovers in reverse, 9 of Pentacles and 10 of Cups

The Demon makes me feel like this person is battling their demons and you are seeing a manifestation of that.  It could also be that they are manipulative and when something didn't go their way, they lost it. The Lovers in reverse suggests that this friendship is not able to be salvaged right now, but the other 3 cards make me feel like you won't have much worry if you just leave them alone. That said, I would stay vigilant.  If they do come back around and want to try the friendship again, I would be very wary.  [/quote]
