In other words if your kid is U-little sign with NVSC to get properly developed and when she turns 14-17 have her try out for VDA. 100% your kid will be taken.
Or sign them up with VSA or PWSI and they’re already there.
You have only 5 or 7 (PWSI/VSA) players out of what, 20? The chances look better if the player is from a different club.
This I don't understand. These aren't contracted players. There's no incentive to go to another club like VDA unless the player/parents think they will win and compete against the nation's best. It's about 75% VSA/PWSI player on every team, 5 to 7 is laughably low and not even close. The U16 team, which is one of the best on east coast, is 15 out of 20 girls from VSA/PWSI, which include the mid-Atlantic player of the year (VSA origins). When other teams complain about losing good players, ask 'why' are they leaving? You get one shot at this ride to college, if that's your goal, and if girls elsewhere want to drive an hour to practice, it must be THAT good. There is literally no other reason to go to a club unless you think it's going to help and if VDA is that place, then best of luck to them. Why complain other than jealous reaction.
Thought we were discussing the U19 team which has the players leaving to college. Isn’t the ultimate goal of ECNL a path to play in college? Or is the ECNL a pro-league where clubs need to draft players to help the club win in the benefit of its brand name?
So if PWSI/VSA have a good program you VDA should have given priority to these players (U19), if you really cared for the player. Instead you took several players from other club.
The curriculum wasn’t strong until last year. VDA has been rebuilding, it’s simple.
It’s has nothing to with curriculum. WTH. VDA girls was born four years ago in 2017 with the emergence of the Girls Development Academy. Until that time, they lost all their players to FCV, McLean and or BRYC. Read that agin. Four years ago. That means that the current 04/03 team were rising 8th and 9th graders at the time. 1. VDA is young. 2. PWSi is a huge organization 3. Less and less kids are leaving for elsewhere causing them to strengthen 4. Slowly becoming a destination club 5. The future is bright
Not at VDA but this is pretty spot on. Cracks me up that some loon thinks they changed the "curriculum" last year and now all of sudden the club is good. SMDH
What’s the curriculum at loudon?
First thing they do is they teach the parents how to spell L O U D O U N.
Ok then. What's the second lesson?
