In fact I naively thought everything was going to be easy breezy and unfortunately I was dumbstruck. It doesn't hurt to set boundaries and create a cocoon for yourself to recover in post birth. If everything goes swimmingly and you feel great then celebrate and invite everyone over. If not, then you don't have to deal with making changes b/c you planned ahead.
