[b]I regularly honk at people who risk the life of my family by pushing into a lane where there is no space, or nearly directly into the side of my car, etc.  I do a lot of driving, and sorry, I don't think this is bad driving on my part.  I honk if there is imminent danger, but I also honk to let the person know that whether they are oblivious or not, they breached protocol.[/b]  I also honk if someone is texting and driving 15 mph under the speed limit.[/quote]
+1 This is me as well. This time of year I’m driving from DC to Jersey and back every weekend and there’s someone who’s drifting into my lane or changing lanes on top of me as if I’m invisible 2-3 times each way. The texting people I just pass, though, after pointing them out to my teenager. I think honking might startle them into doing something even stupider.[/quote]
